This page contains answers to common questions that have been asked, and will be updated with new Q's & A's at regular frequencies in the future. Also, some tips and tricks that that may be useful are presented here as questions.

Note: In these answers a few shorthand conventions for describing user-interface procedures will be followed. Key combinations will be presented like this: Ctrl+Alt+Delete, which means that you should press and hold down the Control key, the Alt key, and the Delete key at the same time. Menu selections will be presented like this: File->Open, which means that you should open the File menu, and then make the Open selection.

Remember also that many answers to your questions may be found in the DigRail Online Help system, which can also be viewed on-line.

Can DigRail run on Windows NT ?

At this present time there has not been an opportunity to evaluate DigRail on the Windows NT OS. The application software has been designed to be compatible with Windows NT OS, but at present its compatibility can not be guaranteed. If any user has loaded DigRail 1.0D demostration software onto their Windows NT OS, any feedback you can give on how it performs and any issues encountered will be welcome. Please either e-mail your comments, or report any issues using the Bug Report Form.

When will the full version of DigRail be available?

The first full release of DigRail (DigRail 1) will be available for purchase December 2002. If you would like to be informed of the price and availability, please register your interest by e-mail, and we will gladly advise you of the details once they become available.

Will DigRail be developed further with additional features ?

Yes, work has begun on DigRail 2 which will include the following additional features:

Ability to control devices attached to Marklin K84 decoders (e.g. street lighting, low current motors, etc.)
Automatic control of locomotives, turnouts, signals, etc., using feedback information from circuit tracks, contact tracks, etc., via s88 decoders.
Graphical display of Locomotive positions.

We would very much like to here your views on DigRail 1, and will appreciate any suggestions you may have for improvements and new features you would like to see in future releases.
