DigRail is designed to run on a PC with the following minimal requirements:

  IBM PC, Pentium 133* or faster recommended, minimum 16Mbyte RAM.
  Windows 9X, Windows ME, Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating system. **
  Internet Browser software ***. Minimum Microsoft Internet Explorer V3.0x (or  equivalent). Microsoft Internet Explorer  V4.0x or higher recommended.
  Monitor Screen Resolution 800 x 600 pixels or better, with 16 bit colour (High Colour) or better.
  One free RS232/423 serial interface with appropriate lead and connectors to interface with the Marklin     Interface Unit.
  Microsoft Windows compatible Mous.
  Minimum Marklin digital control items for PC control, such as:  Control Unit (i.e. Marklin Item 6021), Interface Unit (Marklin Item 6050 or 6051), Transformer (Marklin Item 6002). Also decoders will be required for locomotives (c80 or c81 decoder), turnouts and signals (k 83 decoders). Information on these items and many more are available in the current Marklin catalogue.

* DigRail has been tested and functions satisfactorily on a Pentium 133 PC. It will probably work satisfactorily on lower speed PCs that perform adequately with Windows 9X operating system, but no information on it's performance is available to date.

** DigRail has not yet been tested for full compatibility with Windows NT OS.
